Dr. Jennifer Smith’s journey has been one of passion, exploration, and dedication—both in medicine and in life. After earning a BSc in neuroscience from the University of Alberta, she took time to work and travel before beginning medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada.
raised in beautiful Vernon, Dr. Jespersen took her passion for medicine all the way to Ireland, studying at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons. After completing her rural family medicine training through UBC in Kelowna, she set down roots and built a fulfilling career in family medicine.
Dr. Lisa Heidt is a powerhouse in the medical world—a CCFP-Emergency Medicine trained physician with a fellowship in Addiction Medicine through ISAM. She’s dedicated her career to improving patient care, volunteering internationally, and leading quality improvement projects at Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH).
